IMB Outfitters offers trophy whitetail deer hunting in North Central Missouri. Missouri is the “sleeper” state of the package. Most often times when we acquire a property for outfitting in Missouri it has seen no previous archery pressure at all, and little or no firearms pressure. Missouri ranks as the #5 State in the Nation according to the Pope and Young Record Books. IMB Owner, Darrin Bradley, states, “Missouri is a silent giant of a whitetail state. Our Missouri farms are virtually undiscovered territory and often times house the largest whitetail trophies of any of the 5 States we hunt. In 2002, 2003, and 2004 we hunted 5 states. Three years in a row, Missouri “coughed up” the largest trophy of all. There are some real “bruisers” hiding in the undiscovered woodlots of Missouri.” In Missouri we offer over 650 treestand locations on over 20,000 acres.

We are beginning to see Missouri succeed above all states except for Iowa due to an 8 point restriction rule implemented by the Missouri Department of Conservation in 2005. Missouri is excelling at this time.

Firearms Hunts: The State of Missouri allows rifle hunting. The firearms tags are obtained over the counter at local sporting good stores or online. Tags are guaranteed. The 1st Gun Season in 2009 is November 14th through November 17th. The 2nd Gun Season is November 21st through November 24th.

Archery Hunts: Northern Missouri is simply a marvelous archery hunt. Most generally seasons in Missouri are exceeding 120% shot success rate. Missouri archery tags are obtained over the counter at local sporting good stores or online. The archery season runs from September 15th to January 15th.

Muzzleloader Hunts: Missouri offers a muzzleloader only hunting from 11-29 to 12-6 each season. Hunters may choose any 3 days to pursue trophy whitetails with muzzleloader only during these times. The tag is obtained over the counter at local sporting good stores or online. Tags are guaranteed. In 2008, Missouri proved to be the place to hunt for late season muzzleloader enthusiasts, producing success rates of 90%. Above all we had to do was setup over food plots and wait for animals to come in the food source provided.

Success Rates: We calculate success rates by dividing the number of trophy buck or 130 inch buck shot opportunities reported by our hunters, by the number of hunters we take each year in that particular state. During the 2008 season we presented a trophy buck shot success rate in Missouri of 110%. NOTE: No promise or guaranteed shots at trophy bucks are made by IMB Outfitters.

Missouri Location: Our Missouri deer hunting is located in Macon, Missouri in and about Macon, Knox, and Shelby Counties. The closest airport would be Columbia, Missouri. A friendly airport located within an hour of our lodgesite. Those traveling by motor vehicle may travel to our “trip information” page for a detailed map.

Missouri Lodge: In Macon, Missouri we are currently erecting a brand spanking new facility that will be viewable online later in the season. It will provide all the amenities hunters call upon to make a hunt of a lifetime complete with 3D archery range, gun range, lake with fishing (at no extra charge), game room, etc. In Missouri we also offer 2 smaller lodges which are utilized to hunt ground in northern Knox County, Missouri as well.

In Missouri we offer both semi and fully-guided hunts of your choice at the following cost per hunter. Note: See our “Deer” page for descriptions of semi guided and fully guided hunting.

2009 Hunting Rates

NOTE: HUNT PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF MEALS AND LODGING

NOTE: Various hunts are for different lengths of time. For example archery hunts are 5 days, firearm hunts are 4 days, and late muzzleloader hunts are 3 days. As a result, hunters will be awarded the same number of nights for lodging as the number of days their hunts are. Hunters wishing to purchase additional nights of lodging will be charged extra, per the lodge facility. (Normally $100 per hunter.)

Semi-guided hunts do not require a $500 deposit, but rather the entire amount is due in advance on a semi-guided hunt.

When you book 5 hunters with IMB the 6th hunter hunts for free. (The 6th person will be responsible to pay lodging costs.) A savings of up to $3200 on the 6th hunter.
